Terms & Conditions – Car Rental

Alonnisos Travel – Alonissos Island

Age & Driving License Requirements

• Drivers must be between 21 and 75 years old.

• A valid Category B driving license is required, held for at least one year.

Pick-Up & Drop-Off Hours

• Vehicles can be picked up or returned between 09:00 and 21:00.

• Services outside these hours are available only upon request and subject to availability.

• A full-day charge applies if the vehicle is returned late without notice.

Required Documents at Pick-Up

• Valid ID or Passport

• Valid Driving License

Fuel Policy

• The vehicle is delivered with a full tank and must be returned with a full tank.

• Refueling and service charges will apply if not returned full.

Included Insurance Coverage Standard Insurance Includes:

• Third Party Liability Insurance (TPI)

• Personal Accident Insurance (PAI)

• Theft & Fire Protection (TP)

• Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) with deductible limit depending on the vehicle group.

Not Covered:

• Damage due to wrong fuel.

• Damage to tires, mirrors, or the undercarriage.

• Loss or damage of personal belongings inside the car.

• Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

• Transport of the car via ferry without written permission.

• Driving by an unauthorized person.

• Overloading the car (more passengers than allowed).

• Damage due to violation of rental agreement terms.

Optional Extra Insurance

Excess Reduction Insurance

• Cost: 5.00 Euro/day

• Reduces the renter’s financial liability (excess) by 50% in case of damage.

• Applies only to driver-at-fault damages.

Super Cover – Zero Excess

• Cost: 15.00 Euro/day

• Eliminates the excess for damage or theft.

• Conditions:

• Accident report must be completed before the end of the rental.

• The renter must contact Alonnisos Travel and the roadside assistance in case of an accident.

Not Covered by Zero Excess:

• Tires, mirrors, undercarriage.

• Damage from negligence or intentional actions.

• Damage from wrong fuel or while ferrying.

• Breach of rental agreement.

Roadside Assistance

• Cost: 2.00 Euro/day

• Included free for customers with Super Cover.

• Covers: Locked keys inside the vehicle, dead battery, flat tire replacement with spare, running out of fuel.

Important: Does not cover replacement cost of lost keys, tire/battery damage caused by negligence, or fuel costs.

Payment & Cancellation Policy

• 30% deposit is required to confirm the booking.

• 70% is paid upon pick-up.

• Cancellation:

• More than 14 days before rental: Full refund of deposit.

• Less than 14 days before rental: Deposit is non-refundable.

Vehicle Usage Responsibility

• The renter is fully responsible for traffic violations and related fines.

• All accidents or damage must be reported immediately.

Ferrying the Vehicle

• Allowed only with prior written permission.

• Strictly forbidden to ferry vehicles to Skopelos and Skiathos.

Equipment & Accessories

• Accessories (e.g., child seats) are available on request.

• Loss or damage is subject to replacement charges.

Passenger Limits

• Vehicle capacity must not be exceeded. Overloading voids the insurance coverage.

Accident Reporting

• The renter is obliged to complete an accident report (Greek Law Article K70). Contact Roadside Assistance for confirmation and photos.

Force Majeure

• Alonnisos Travel is not liable for delays due to natural disasters, strikes, etc.

• Images on the website are illustrative and may differ from the actual rental vehicle.
