Customs and Traditions
Fishing, agriculture and wine making have always been the occupations of the inhabitants of Alonnisos, with some of them continuing to stand the test of time, while for some other tasks, such as threshing wheat, reenactments are made every year, which attract the interest of a large number of visitors. Many of the objects used by the old inhabitants of Alonnisos are preserved to this day in excellent condition, while the Traditional House, located in the Old Village and which was built according to the tradition of the stone houses in the Old Village, is of particular interest. In the Traditional House, visitors have the opportunity to see up close a large collection of furniture and useful objects from earlier times.
