Patitiri
The picturesque Patitiri, port and capital of the island, owes its name to the wine presses that existed on the island during the period when the main occupation of its inhabitants was viticulture. In the port of Patitiriou there are many catering establishments (restaurants, taverns, cafes, etc.), from where visitors can enjoy the atmosphere of the port, with its many fishing boats and sailing boats. At the edge of the harbor there is a small beach with clear blue-green waters, while higher up are steep pale yellow rocks with scattered pine trees. In the evenings these rocks are illuminated with floodlights. At the point where the mouth of the bay opens to the sea, two uninhabited islets, known as the Two Sisters, can be seen in the distance.
